This dataset contains survey responses collected from Generation Z individuals in Bangladesh to examine the influence of Social Media Exposure, Financial Literacy, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and Peer Pressure on Online Betting Intention. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The dataset includes demographic information and measurement items for all study constructs. The data can be used for replication, validation, and further research on online betting behavior among young adults in developing countries.

Steps to reproduce

1. Design a structured questionnaire consisting of demographic questions and measurement items for Social Media Exposure, Financial Literacy, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), Peer Pressure, and Online Betting Intention. 2. Measure all construct items using a five-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). 3. Distribute the questionnaire online among Generation Z respondents (aged 18–27 years) residing in Bangladesh. 4. Collect responses using a convenience and snowball sampling approach. 5. Screen the collected data by removing incomplete, duplicate, or invalid responses. 6. Code the responses and prepare the dataset in spreadsheet format (.xlsx or .csv). 7. Assess reliability and validity through Cronbach's Alpha, Composite Reliability (CR), Average Variance Extracted (AVE), and discriminant validity tests. 8. Analyze the structural relationships among constructs using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). 9. Interpret the path coefficients, significance levels, and explanatory power (R²) to evaluate the influence of Social Media Exposure, Financial Literacy, FOMO, and Peer Pressure on Online Betting Intention.
