This dataset contains the data used in the study “Humanizing professional competence: scale design and validation in social and healthcare professionals.” It includes socio-demographic and professional information (age, sex, workplace, educational level, work area, professional role, and years of experience), together with the responses to the 21 items of the Humanizing Professional Competence Scale (HPCS). The scale assesses humanizing professional competence across seven dimensions: scientific-technical, emotional, relational, ethical, spiritual, cultural, and managerial competence. The data were collected through the Instituto Salvadoreño del Seguro Social from a total sample of 1,458 social and healthcare professionals. All participants provided responses voluntarily and the dataset has been fully anonymized to protect personal privacy. The dataset is provided in .xlsx format and contains all variables needed to reproduce the analyses reported in the associated manuscript. These data may be used to support further psychometric studies or research related to humanized care in professional settings. Reuse of these data requires proper citation of the dataset and the associated original article. Any commercial or unrelated use must be approved by the corresponding author.
