Description

Arthrospira (Spirulina) platensis is a blue-green microalga belonging to the cyanobacteria group. This microalga has a high and diverse content of chemical components, including proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, as well as active components such as alkaloids, saponins, phenols, flavonoids, and tannins. Additionally, it also contains a blue natural pigment called phycocyanin. Some researchers state that spirulina exhibits antibacterial, antioxidant, antiplasmodial, anticancer, and immunostimulant activities. This microalga can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors. This dataset comprises and represents the different immunostimulant activities of biomass, extracts, and pigment from Arthrospira (Spirulina) Platensis Cultivated in Outdoor Inclined Plastic Column Photobioreactor.
