Description

In the rapidly evolving digital age, the integration of generative artificial intelligence tools into educational settings is bringing new approaches to language teaching methodologies. The aim of this study is to compare the effects of real-time feedback provided by ChatGPT and traditional teacher feedback on the writing skills of B2-level students learning Turkish as a second language. The study, which used an explanatory sequential mixed design combining quantitative and qualitative data, involved 18 students enrolled at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University TÖMER. During the eight-week experimental process, students in the experimental group received feedback on their writing assignments via ChatGPT, while the control group received feedback from their teacher.
