Joseph WernerDescription
Measurements from experimental ostrich eggshell beads. The data from egg 1 represent a short pilot conducted in 2023. Egg 2 was transformed into beads by volunteers in 2023. Measurements with a "1" represent the first stage of bead making while measurements with a "2" record the same beads after having gone through an additional shaping stage. Beads that broke while being worked are indicated as such using a "1" in the "failed" column.

Steps to reproduce
All measurements were taken using digital calipers to two decimal places. To measure eggshell thickness, 3 values were recorded from different locations and averaged. This was done to account for the natural variability in the thickness of ostrich eggshell.
