Description

The present study, “Analyzing the Correlation Between Agility and Flexibility in Recreational Basketball Players,” was conducted to examine the relationship between agility and flexibility using field-based outcome measures. Data collected included demographic variables such as age, gender, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI), along with performance measures including sit-and-reach test scores for flexibility and T-test scores for agility.

Steps to reproduce

Participants were recruited from Sports complex of Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University) and included recreational basketball players aged 18–30 years who met the inclusion criteria. Demographic data including age, gender, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) were recorded. Flexibility was assessed using the sit-and-reach test, where participants performed the test according to standard protocol and the best score was recorded in centimeters. Agility was assessed using the T-test, where participants completed a timed multidirectional movement task, and the time was recorded in seconds. All participants were given standardized instructions and demonstrations before testing. Data were recorded and analyzed using statistical software (SPSS) to determine the correlation between agility and flexibility.
