Description

This is the dataset containing all variables for the analyses in the manuscript titled "Migration and City Size: A New Empirical Approach to an Old Question." The data are primarily from the 2000 census of population and 2010 American Community Survey 5-year estimates. Port data is from the NOAA shoreline 1999/2000 survey. Agricultural land values are from the USDA census of agriculture for 2002 and 2012.
