Description

Porewater geochemical measurements of Mg and Mg/Ca, thermodynamic saturation index (SI) calculations, and supporting solid-phase data [CaCO3 and OrgC] used in this study are provided in the Supplementary Information (Tables S1–S3 and Figures S1–S5). Thermodynamic calculations were performed using PHREEQC Interactive under the conditions specified in Table S2.
