Description
Data collected during twenty-eight water infiltration tests (Lefranc) (© ISO 2025) during the drilling advancement phase at the three borehole stations. We injected a constant flow rate using the pump by monitoring the water depths in the bores over time with pressure probes (PTX 164, DRUCK Ltd., England, or OTT, Corr-Tek Idrometria, Italy). The infiltration test results showed rapid decreases in the water depth owing to very fast horizontal radial flows in the fractured layers. Conversely, the infiltration flow rate of the injected water was vertical in the absence of fractured layers. Moreover, we saved data from infiltrometer test measurements conducted on soil outcrops near Pizzo d'Alvano, Quindici village (Avellino, Italy) to determine the cumulative vertical drainage capacity of the pyroclastic and pedogenic soil layers, and the hydraulic conductivity ranged from 10–4 to 10–5 m/s. The dataset includes Microsoft Excel files (.xls) and MATLAB files (.m) that display data and best-fitting curves.

Steps to reproduce
Collected data have been used to determine the mean values of fracture apertures at several locations, and at different depths of the sloping outcrops at the investigated site. The variografy of apertures has been included in the input of 3-D DFN flow and transport simulations.
