Description

This dataset presents observed tidal water level data collected from a monitoring channel of the Karnafuli River in Bangladesh over the period from 2022 to 2024. The dataset contains time-series measurements that capture the temporal variation of tidal fluctuations in the river system. The observations were recorded at a fixed location with geographic coordinates of 22°13.64′ N latitude and 91°48.3′ E longitude, representing a specific channel of the Karnafuli River. The dataset reflects tidal conditions influenced by coastal and estuarine dynamics. The recorded data correspond to tidal observations around the new moon phase, when tidal ranges are typically higher due to the alignment of the Earth, Moon, and Sun. All timestamps in this dataset are provided in Bangladesh Standard Time (BST), which is 6 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This dataset can be used for analyzing tidal patterns, seasonal variations, and water level trends. It is also suitable for applications in hydrological analysis, coastal and estuarine research, flood risk assessment, and the development of machine learning models for tidal prediction.
