Description

This dataset contains key processed data supporting the findings of the article titled "Assessing system-wide potential losses to inform adaptive governance of ecologically fragile cropland systems". It includes dimension-level composite values, Shortboard Constraint Index (SCI), Dynamic Shortboard Index (DSI) and Co-optimization Potential (COP), Governance zoning maps and Warning Zone layers during 2000-2020, Governance zoning maps during 2020-2040 under S1-S4, and Dynamic Warning Zone during 2020-2040 under S1-S4. These data facilitate the reproducibility of the spatial analysis and the validation of the co-optimization framework proposed in the study.

Steps to reproduce

Data Description: All datasets provided in this repository are final processed results ready for direct visualization and analysis. Software Requirement: ArcGIS (version 10.x or later) or QGIS (3.x or later) is recommended for opening the spatial data files. Data Access and Visualization: 1. Download the dataset package from this repository. 2. Open the .mxd (ArcMap) or .aprx (ArcGIS Pro) project file, or directly load the raster (.tif) and vector (.shp) files into ArcGIS/QGIS. 3. All layers including dimension-level composite values, Shortboard Constraint Index (SCI), Dynamic Shortboard Index (DSI), Co-optimization Potential (COP), governance zoning maps, and Warning Zone layers will be displayed. 4. Attribute tables contain all index values and can be exported for further statistical analysis. Note: The methodological workflow for generating these indices (SCI, DSI, COP) follows the protocol described in the associated manuscript [Assessing system-wide potential losses to inform adaptive governance of ecologically fragile cropland systems]. Raw input data preprocessing and index calculation algorithms are detailed in the manuscript's Methods section.
