Description

This collection provides a country-year panel covering up to 219 economies over 2000–2020, assembling income-inequality measures and their macro-structural correlates. Inequality is captured by disposable- and market-income Gini coefficients from the Standardized World Income Inequality Database (SWIID), with standard errors, alongside the World Bank Gini index (SI.POV.GINI). Covariates include human capital, total factor productivity, labour share, GDP per capita (PPP), trade openness, high-technology exports, an economic-freedom index, a digital-adoption index, and a governance composite, sourced from the Penn World Table, World Development Indicators, the Fraser Institute, and the Worldwide Governance Indicators. Files are Stata (.dta), keyed by ISO3 country code and year.
