The Celestial LifeStar is an interplanetary train–starship hybrid civilisation vessel assembled in orbit from twenty-three Starship-class hulls together with a lead command hull. Each hull launches independently, sheds its engine skirt and nose cone after reaching orbit, and mates to its neighbours through a joint that separates structural, moment, and pressure loads into three dedicated mechanisms. The vessel operates in two configurations. In Train Mode the hulls form a linear chain roughly 1,150 metres long, used for rail transit, mining dispersal, and the seeding of future rail segments. In Ring Mode the chain closes into a ring 366 metres in diameter which is spun to 2.3 revolutions per minute, producing one Earth gravity of true centrifugal loading at the rim. Telescoping arms deploy inward from every module to the lead hull, which takes station on the spin axis and serves at once as assembly controller, docking node, storm shelter, and lifeboat. Power derives from concentrated solar thermal collection into a high-temperature blackbody cavity. That cavity drives Stirling converters for electricity and delivers process heat directly to industry without a conversion round trip. The Oxygen-Based Rotational Piston System, or ORPS, is mounted externally as a swappable cartridge on vibration-isolating spring mounts. It electrolyses harvested ice, reduces regolith to oxygen and metals, refines structural feedstock, and conditions propellant. Detachable mosquito hulls conduct independent harvesting campaigns and return refined material to the ring. Water serves as the vessel's universal medium — shield, coolant, drinking supply, thermal mass, propellant feedstock, immersion fluid, ballast, and the target of the mosquito fleet's harvest. This single substance doing many jobs is what allows the mass budget to close. Velocity comes principally from infrastructure external to the ship. A thirty-kilometre electromagnetic rail launcher delivers roughly three kilometres per second of departure velocity, supplemented aboard by accumulated hydrogen and oxygen burns and by electric thrusters for trim. Crew ride rail launch in fluid immersion cradles oriented transverse to the acceleration vector, which raises tolerance far beyond what a seated crew could survive. The vessel carries ninety-two crew in the ring together with the lead hull complement, masses approximately 3,450 tonnes, and carries roughly 440 tonnes of cargo. Crew rotations are bounded at twelve to eighteen months in deep space by galactic cosmic ray dose rather than by consumables. One organising principle runs through every subsystem: the heavy infrastructure belongs on the route, not in the vehicle. The rail supplies velocity for which the ship never carries propellant. Seeded packets ensure that each journey improves the road for the journeys that follow. ORPS draws energy and matter from the environment rather than hauling them from Earth.
