Ping ZhangDescription
This dataset offers comprehensive estimates of 200-year and 300-year return levels for extreme high-water events along the Lingdingyang-Humen Inlet-Shiziyang tidal channel system in the Greater Bay Area, derived through both Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) and max-stable modeling approaches. It encompasses four key hydrodynamic components: extreme measured water level (EMWL), maximum storm surge (MSS), and extreme skew surge (ESS), with coverage extending to both gauged and ungauged monitoring stations. Furthermore, the dataset incorporates optimized return level estimates of extreme measured water level (EMWL) that account for the evolving morphodynamic processes in the study area.
