The glacial geomorphology of the Río Corcovado, Río Huemul and Lago Palena/General Vintter valleys, northeastern Patagonia (43°S, 71°W) - shapefiles
Description
This open-access data comprises the twenty-six shapefiles necessary to visualise and analyse our glacial geomorphological map on a geographical information system (such as ArcGIS) (folder 01). All shapefiles are georeferenced in the WGS84 geographic reference coordinate system. Each of the 25 data folders comprise 7 file formats: .shp , .cpg , .dbf , .prj , .sbn , .shx , and Adobe Illustrator Tsume File (.sbx). To enable an easier download process, if required, we also provide the 26 shapefiles in .shp format only, together in folder 02. We further provide a table with recommended RGB colours per shapefile to enable optimum visualisation (folder 03). Please cite original publication when using and/or referring to these data.

Steps to reproduce
The multi-polygon shapefiles have been merged to enable better visualisation. For optimum visualisation of all features mapped using a geographical information software we recommend to symbolise all polygon layers without outlines and to modify the shapefiles' layering according to the numbering system (1 to 25) provided in the shapefiles' folder and file names: with 01 representing the bottom layer and 25 the topmost layer. We provide a table with recommended RGB colours per shapefile to enable optimum visualisation (see folder 02).
