INTRINSIC FOOT MUSCLE TRAINING AMONG KATHAK DANCERS

A two group trial was performed among Kathak Dancers aiming at improving the balance of such individuals and their foot posture through training of the intrinsic muscles of the foot which maintain the integrity and function of the internal foot mechanics. This study was conducted to improve the dance performance of Kathak dancers and their foot posture. there is a strong correlation between the foot posture and the maintenance of foot integrity and function. Thus, any intervention at the intrinsic foot muscles will enhance the dance performance and reduce the risk of injury at the foot in such individuals.
