The statistical data for replication and gene–environment interaction analyses of acne-associated SNPs in the SMCGES cohort
Description
This dataset contains all the statistical data generated from a replication study and gene–environment interaction (G×E) analyses of previously reported acne-associated SNPs in the Singapore/Malaysia Cross-Sectional Genetic Epidemiology Study (SMCGES) cohort.

The dataset was generated from replication and gene–environment interaction (G×E) analyses conducted in the Singapore/Malaysia Cross-Sectional Genetic Epidemiology Study (SMCGES) cohort. Replication analysis: A predefined set of previously reported acne-associated SNPs was compiled from published genome-wide association studies (GWAS). Association analyses were performed using logistic regression under an additive genetic model. Models were adjusted for age, sex, and the top ten principal components (PC1–PC10) to account for population structure. Gene–environment interaction analysis: G×E analyses were conducted using logistic regression models including SNP, environmental factor, and SNP × environmental factor interaction term. Each environmental factor was analyzed separately. Models were adjusted for age, sex, and the corresponding environmental variable. SNP selection: For SNPs not directly available in the dataset, proxy SNPs were selected based on linkage disequilibrium (LD) using reference populations, prioritizing variants with high LD and availability in the dataset. Software and workflow: All analyses were performed using PLINK (version 2.0). Standard association and interaction models were implemented using the --glm framework. Summary statistics including odds ratios (OR), 95% confidence intervals (CI), standard errors (SE), and p-values were extracted from PLINK output. Reproducibility: The deposited dataset includes all the statistics and analysis command templates generated from this study. The provided summary statistics and analysis workflow allow independent verification and interpretation of the reported results.
