Description

This dataset accompanies a systematic-search-and-review of construction aggregate substitution under scarcity. It contains the two supplementary materials that document how the analytic corpus was assembled and what it contains, so that the search strategy and the selection decisions can be independently audited. S1_search_protocol.xlsx — the search protocol in full. It records the twelve thematic search streams defined a priori; the 71 Boolean strings as literally submitted, with field tags, dates of execution and hit counts; the successive versions of the strings and the recall attained by each; and the validation of the executed strategy by relative recall against a gold-standard set of the 338 indexed records in the retained corpus. The executed strategy retrieves 138 of the 338, a relative recall of 40.8 per cent, from a screening pool of 27,013 records. Strings were run against the Scopus Search API and OpenAlex, with a separate stream against the national legal database of Viet Nam and the national standards catalogue. Crossref was used for metadata verification and not as a search database. S2_analytic_corpus.xlsx — the analytic corpus of 421 records, with the evidence-cluster classification assigned to each record and the verification record for each entry. Every retained record was re-verified against registered Crossref metadata or, where no digital object identifier existed, against the publisher record or the issuing authority; records whose bibliographic identity could not be confirmed were discarded rather than corrected. The corpus is larger than the reference list of the article, which cites only the records discussed at a specific point in the argument. Every count, share and profile reported in the article is computed over the full corpus given here. Both files are Microsoft Excel workbooks. Searching, screening and verification were carried out by a single reviewer within each stream; no inter-rater agreement statistic is therefore available, and the screening decisions are released here so that the selection can be examined directly.
