Description

This dataset supports a bibliometric analysis and structured narrative review of research on climate change, urbanization, and Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) ecology and transmission (2017–2026). Scopus was searched on 3 September 2026 (752 records; 351 documents analyzed bibliometrically). Of 243 research articles screened, 72 core studies were assessed at full text and 57 were included in the narrative synthesis. The dataset contains the coding manual (codebook), the title/abstract screening log, full-text eligibility decisions, extraction sheets for mechanistic (n = 50), regional comparison (n = 10), and post-2019 (n = 14) evidence, and the Python code used to produce Figs. 1–4 and the graphical abstract. Verbatim quotations from source articles were removed for copyright reasons. The raw Scopus export is not redistributed under the Scopus terms of use but can be regenerated with the search string provided in the README.

Steps to reproduce

1. Run the Scopus query given in README.md, limited to articles, reviews, book chapters, and conference papers; English; 2017–2026; final publication stage. 2. Export the records as CSV (Bibliometrik.csv). 3. Install Python 3.9+ with pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and geopandas. 4. Run the scripts in /code as described in code/README.md. 5. Screening, eligibility, and extraction followed 00_codebook.csv; outputs are in files 01–05.
