Dataset 1 provides the original and unprocessed data for figures 1-6 in the associated paper "Planthopper-induced volatiles suppress rice plant defense by targeting Os4CL5-dependent phenolamide biosynthesis". It includes bioassay data on brown planthopper (BPH) nymph under laboratory and semi-field conditions (Yao et al Figure 1); early signaling gene expression profiles, covering Ca²⁺, MPK, and WRKY (Yao et al Figure 2); phytohormone-related data, including the expression of JA and SA pathway genes, as well as the levels of JA, JA-Ile, and SA (Yao et al Figure 3); HIPV-exposed plant responses, featuring JA and JA-Ile contents alongside BPH weight gain (Yao et al Figure 4); secondary metabolite analysis, documenting p-coumaric acid and N-feruloylputrescine abundances, along with their effects on BPH survival (Yao et al Figure 5); Correlative findings on N-feruloylputrescine content and BPH weight gain in HIPV-exposed plants (Yao et al Figure 6).
