Supplemental Material: Molecular Alterations in Patients of Color with Advanced Cutaneous and Unknown Primary Melanomas

This dataset contains supplemental materials for the manuscript “Molecular Alterations in Patients of Color with Advanced Cutaneous and Unknown Primary Melanomas.” The study aimed to characterize MAPK driver alterations and tumor mutational burden (TMB) in cutaneous and unknown primary melanoma among patients of color (POC) and compare these findings with those of non-Hispanic White (NHW) patients. The retrospective convenience cohort included 676 patients with advanced cutaneous or unknown primary melanoma. The study evaluated molecular alterations, TMB, ultraviolet mutational signatures, self-identified race and ethnicity, genetically inferred ancestry, and estimated skin tone using the Monk Skin Tone scale. The supplemental file includes a table comparing demographic and molecular characteristics among the subset of patients whose skin tone was assessed using the Monk Skin Tone scale. It also includes a supplemental figure illustrating the overlap among self-identified POC, patients with non-European genetically inferred ancestry, and patients with medium to dark estimated skin tone within the subset of patients with available skin-tone assessments.
