Description

RSV (CAS Number 501-36-0) was purchased from Aladdin and dissolved in DMSO (CAS Number 67-68-5), which was purchased from Thermo Scientific to obtain a stock solution. The stock solution was freshly diluted with artificial water to a final concentration of 1% DMSO. Based on preliminary experiments, we selected 5 μM and 50 μM as the concentrations for RSV exposure, with a control group (DMSO concentration <1%, which does not harm the worms) run in parallel. In this experiment, planarians were placed in RSV-containing solutions at 20°C in the dark for 72 hours, with the solution renewed daily. At the end of the experiment, morphology and blastema size were recorded. Three replicates were set up for each group. Total RNA was extracted and sent to the BGI Genomics Institute for RNA sequencing (Shenzhen, China). The data were analyzed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/).
