A map of historical disruptive events in SHP format for use in GIS is presented. The data was obtained from news sources, academic articles, popular science publications, and official sources. The database has its oldest data point in 1100 and extends to 2026. The events are grouped as follows: hydrometeorological, geological, ecological-sanitary, chemical-technological, and socio-organizational. Currently, the database includes the event name, description, start year, end year, type 1 (primary) and type 2 (secondary) events. Records with the year -9999 indicate that the year is unknown, and -8888 indicates that the event has persisted over time without a known origin. The database will be enriched annually in new versions. This database is the result of an initiative by the authors of the Risk Management Research Laboratory at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur in Mexico.
