Description

Avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) causes severe avian colibacillosis in poultry, leading to large economic losses. This dataset contains raw processed experimental measurements investigating minE, a conserved bacterial cell‑division gene in APEC94. The quorum‑sensing protein LsrR represses minE. We compared wild‑type bacteria, minE‑knockout mutant, complemented strain, lsrR mutant and double‑mutant strains. Experiments include bacterial growth, motility, biofilm‑related phenotypes, serum survival, macrophage infection, antibiotic susceptibility, cell morphology, gene expression, and mouse systemic infection readouts (survival and inflammatory cytokine levels). All experiments were performed in biological triplicate. These raw quantitative data support all figures and conclusions of the linked peer‑reviewed manuscript and are openly available for further re‑analysis by other researchers.
