These data contain precipitation data extracted from CHIRPS (https://climateserv.servirglobal.net/) and potential evapotranspiration data downloaded from the CRU website (https://data.ceda.ac.uk/badc/cru/data/cru_ts ) for catchments of the Upper Blue Nile River Basin. It also contains a shapefile of various catchments within the basin. The R code for preparing spatial and temporal plots for precipitation and potential evapotranspiration is included.

Steps to reproduce
We collected the data from freely available websites, and extract it in R software and clip to our study area based on the shapefiles of each catchments.
