Description

This dataset contains the raw data underlying a field experiment on the effects of management on newly constructed artificial ponds in an eutrophic wetland in South Moravia, Czechia. It includes (1) a species matrix of aquatic macroinvertebrates and (2) a table of environmental and physico-chemical variables measured in the same waterbodies and sampling periods. The study compared three management regimes—grazing, mowing, and no management—and followed community development in nine experimental ponds and one old pond between 2020 and 2024. The biological data cover four focal groups: Mollusca, Odonata, Coleoptera, and Heteroptera. The dataset was used to evaluate management effects on habitat structure, water conditions, macroinvertebrate richness, density, community composition, and temporal dynamics in restored wetland ponds.
