Description

The dataset includes information regarding the corrosion of additively manufactured (AM) multi principal element alloys (MPEAs). It was compiled for a critical review paper. The dataset has been processed to allow machine learning (ML) operations. This includes parsing of alloy names/compositions into their individual elemental makeup (in atomic fraction) and calculating the entropy of mixing and valence electron concentration (VEC). This database includes alloy composition, phase type, AM processing, test electrolyte type and concentration, entropy of mixing, VEC, corrosion potential, pitting potential, and corrosion current density.

The data was gathered from the open literature. Each entry in the AM MPEA corrosion database has a corresponding link to the source paper/study. Empty cells in the database correspond to the data required for that cell not being provided in the associated study. The contributors have endeavoured to ensure the database is free of any errors.
