Alexander SmithDescription
Large Eddy Simulation (LES) results for the sample sites Aeropuerto, El Mattoral, Ingles, and Maspalomas during Cases 1 (NNE winds), 2 (N winds), and 3 (NNW winds). Data is available for velcotiy (m/s) and direction (°) and is measured every 2.5 s during a 24 hour simulation period. Also, data is available to predict and observe dune dynamics at Maspalomas including Merra-2 retro-analysis of regional airflow patterns, 'Fryberger model' predicting the expected drift potential, observed celerity of crest migration rates, and mass flux estimates for time series 1 (498 day period occurring between 2006-2008) and time series 2 (1,287 day period occurring between 2008-2011).
