Description

This dataset summarizes published case reports of necrotizing fasciitis occurring in patients with eczematous dermatoses. Extracted variables include demographics, underlying dermatologic condition, microbiological findings, anatomical location, severity markers (LRINEC score and presence of sepsis at presentation), treatment, and clinical outcomes. The dataset is provided to support the clinical and microbiological interpretation of a reported case of necrotizing fasciitis arising in chronic hand eczema.

Steps to reproduce

Published reports of necrotizing fasciitis occurring in patients with eczematous dermatoses were identified through targeted literature review. Cases were included if necrotizing fasciitis was clinically and/or microbiologically confirmed and an underlying eczematous condition was documented. Relevant demographic, clinical, and microbiological variables were extracted and organized into a structured comparative table. The present adult case was included for contextual comparison.
