# Global photovoltaic industry-chain trade network dataset, 2003-2023: multilayer trade flows, network metrics, robustness and cascading-failure results ## Summary This repository contains the data and reproducibility materials for a study of the spatiotemporal evolution, core-periphery structure, robustness, and bidirectional cascading-failure risk of the global photovoltaic (PV) industry-chain trade network. The dataset is built from CEPII BACI bilateral trade records for 2003-2023 and focuses on seven PV-related HS product layers. It includes extracted trade-flow files, processed network and resilience indicators, BMCF outputs, figure source data, code used to generate analysis outputs and figures, and the Natural Earth base-map files used for trade-flow maps. ## Product layers - HS 280469: industrial silicon / upstream raw material - HS 381800: silicon wafers and semiconductor devices / midstream manufacturing input - HS 392020: PV encapsulation or polymer film / downstream auxiliary material - HS 700719: PV glass / downstream auxiliary material - HS 850131: PV modules or DC generators, <=750 W / downstream product - HS 850132: PV modules or DC generators, >750 W and <=75 kW / downstream product - HS 854140: solar cells / midstream manufacturing
