Mechanochemically modified biogenic silica with Zn-Al domains for reversible imatinib adsorption and continuous-flow recovery
Description
This dataset contains the experimental data supporting the study “Mechanochemically modified biogenic silica with Zn-Al domains for reversible imatinib adsorption and continuous-flow recovery.” The work investigates the adsorption, recovery, regeneration, and continuous-flow retention of imatinib mesylate (IM) using a Zn-Al-modified biogenic silica derived from rice husk. The dataset includes raw and processed data corresponding to HPLC calibration and analytical validation, preliminary adsorption experiments, effects of adsorbent dosage, solution pH, and stirring speed, adsorption kinetics at different initial IM concentrations, equilibrium isotherms at 288.15–323.15 K, and thermodynamic calculations. It also contains data from coexisting cation and anion experiments, adsorption in real aqueous matrices, desorption screening, regeneration over ten consecutive adsorption-desorption cycles, adsorbent mass recovery, and Zn and Al leaching determined by ICP-OES. Additionally, continuous-flow fixed-bed data are provided, including the experimental breakthrough curve, effective flow-rate determination, breakthrough and saturation times, dynamic adsorption capacities, mass-transfer-zone calculations, acidic column desorption, IM recovery, and concentration enhancement during elution.
