Morphological and molecular data supporting the naming of a new Isospora species, Isospora picoflavae, from the Northern Yellow-shafted Flicker (Colaptes auratus luteus). Aligned datasets supporting phylogenetic trees based on complete mitochondrial genomes or concatenated nuclear 18S rDNA/partial mitochondrial COI sequences are provided. Trees (PDF plus Geneious formats), aligned sequences (FASTA and Geneious formats), MrBayes command block (NEXUS) and MrBayes posterior output (Geneious format) for both datasets is provided.
