Leadership and dominance dataset. The present study aims to replicate this effect in the 2019 Spanish general elections by using the faces of the five main party leaders. The first experiment confirms the influence of facial dominance in the leader preference and therefor in electoral success. The second experiment analyses how different contexts, conditions, individual predispositions modulate this preference and reveals significant correlations among these variables, although not in the case of facial choice. This final relation is only present among conservative leaning female voters, thereby confirming the prediction of greater influence of appearance effect among women.
