This dataset includes 20 examples of photosynthesis-irradiance (PI) curves obtained from field measurements conducted at 20 distinct locations within a subantarctic peatland on Navarino Island, southern Chile (latitude -54.9°). Measurements were performed using a novel modulated-light skirt-chamber, specifically designed for characterizing photosynthetic responses under natural environmental conditions. Each PI curve represents carbon assimilation rates measured at multiple controlled irradiance levels, generated by adjusting screens to modulate incoming natural light.
