Steps to reproduce

The Stata .do files provide the code necessary to produce the tables and figures in the main text of the manuscript. The .dta files contain the final estimation datasets at the state- and county-level. All underlying data obtained from public-use data sources. Interpolated estimates of mortality are excluded from the county-level file, such that the exact coefficients in Table 4 will not replicate exactly (other than Panel B).
