Study strategies of Ecuadorian university students, 2024-2025. Case study of the University of Cuenca

Participants belonged to the 12 faculties of the University of Cuenca, located in Cuenca, Ecuador, from September 2024 to March 2025. The sample consisted of students selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The inclusion criterion was being enrolled at the University of Cuenca during the specified period, while the exclusion criterion was being under 18 years of age. For the sample size calculation, student enrollment statistics for the academic period from September 2024 to February 2025 were used as a reference, reporting a total of 17 266 enrolled students (Unidad de Análisis de Datos de la Universidad de Cuenca, 2024). We applied a 95% confidence level and a 4.1% margin of error, and the result was a required sample size of 558
