Description

We hypothesized that co-precipitating selenium (Se) into calcium phosphate (CaP) during biomimetic mineralization, while serving as a multifunctional ionic reservoir when blended with p Poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) (PLCL). Specifically, this Se@CaP-PLCL composite is designed to buffer the acidic degradation products of PLCL, provide sustained dual-action multi-ion delivery (Se, Ca, P), suppress osteosarcoma (OS) cell viability and migration, and simultaneously promote osteogenic differentiation and mineralization for post-surgical bone defect repair.
