Description

This dataset contains the underlying experimental data and statistical analysis scripts supporting the study on the ecological mechanisms of microbial bioaugmentation in remediating secondary salinized greenhouse soils. The data were obtained from a continuous three-year field experiment spanning six consecutive cropping seasons (cucumber cultivation) evaluated under uninoculated control and bacterial–fungal co-inoculation (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Trichoderma harzianum). The dataset is organized into the following components: Soil physical properties: Water-stable aggregate distribution, calculated water-stable mean weight diameter (WMWD), and total dissolved salts (TDS). Soil chemical and biochemical parameters: Soil nutrient availability (organic carbon, available N, P, and K), extracellular hydrolytic enzyme activities, and microbial biomass. Microbial community profiles: Quality-filtered and normalized OTU/ASV abundance tables and taxonomic classifications (16S rRNA and ITS sequencing downstream tables), with relative abundances of key taxa (including Phenylobacterium and Schizothecium). Crop performance: Seasonal and cumulative crop productivity (cucumber yield) across cropping seasons. Modeling script: The R markdown/script containing the piecewise structural equation modeling (pSEM) workflow used to evaluate causal direct and indirect pathways governing yield gains. All tabular data are provided in .xlsx or .csv or .R format. Missing values. Raw high-throughput sequencing reads (FASTQ files) are preserved and available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
