The respondent file is the Global Findex Database 2025 microdata, reference WLD_2024_ FINDEX_v02_M, based on interviews conducted in 2024 (World Bank, 2025b). The full file contains 144,090 unique respondents in 140 economies. The Sub-Saharan African regional classification contains 35,093 respondents in 35 economies. The mobile-money outcome is observed for 34 regional economies. Mauritania is not included because the outcome is not available. The official-ID item is unavailable for Liberia and Chad. After requiring valid outcome and ID responses, 31,509 adults in 32 economies remain. The primary complete-case model contains 30,277 adults in 31 economies; Lesotho is excluded because household-income quintile is unavailable for every respondent. A sensitivity model omits income and retains Lesotho, producing 31,262 adults in 32 economies.

Steps to reproduce
The primary estimand is the average adjusted probability difference across the 31 economies. Findex respondent weights are normalized to sum equally within each economy, so large and small economies contribute the same total weight. This policy-unit estimand avoids allowing a few populous economies to determine the regional coefficient. Adult-population-weighted results are reported as a sensitivity analysis.
