Soybean Seed Infestation Dataset for Pulse Beetle Damage Analysis

Description

This dataset contains annotated images of soybean seeds affected by pulse beetle infestation. The dataset focuses on detecting and analyzing pulse beetle eggs and bore holes present on soybean seeds for computer vision and deep learning applications. It is designed to support research in automated pest damage assessment, seed quality inspection, and agricultural storage management. The dataset includes images captured under different conditions to improve robustness for object detection and classification tasks.

Steps to reproduce

Soybean seeds were collected and categorized into healthy and pulse beetle-infested classes under controlled laboratory conditions. Images were captured using a fixed imaging setup with uniform illumination, followed by quality verification, annotation, and organization into class-specific folders. The dataset can be reproduced by following the same seed collection, infestation development, image acquisition, and labeling protocol
