OS_2022_WAVES_EDDY

Description

These files contain the WAVEWATCH-III wave simulation outputs in a netcdf format in both the initial (suffix _INI_) and the fully developed eddy (suffix _UNST_). To reproduce the figure of Marechal and de Marez 2022 plot the last time output to be sure that the wave field is stationary. The files contain different wave parameter fields in a eddy field both dynamical at the meso- and submesoscale. range. The format of the files is: ww3.196806_<shape_of-the_vortex>_<peak_period_of_the_incident_waves>sec.nc -ray_tracing_outputs: ray tracing over the vortex -SNL: numerical outputs where the nonlinear wave-wave interaction is activated.
