Description

Supporting CSV files for the preprint “Wealth Concentration, Private Credit, and the Capital-Formation Wedge in Albania.” The files provide processed, non-raw research inputs used for the paper’s descriptive statistics, figures, econometric screening, robustness checks, and appendix tables. They include harmonized annual macroeconomic series, WID wealth-inequality indicators, World Bank/WGI macro-institutional variables, missingness and imputation policy records, UECM/ARDL and Granger-screen outputs, and anonymized public-exposure/proxy indicators used only for descriptive institutional-screening purposes. Firm-level identifiers have been anonymized or removed. The dataset excludes confidential information, raw administrative records, and direct tax-identification fields. Public-exposure and institutional-screening variables should not be interpreted as legal findings, allegations, or proof of misconduct; they are included only to support reproducibility of the paper’s empirical framework and sensitivity analysis. The files are intended to help readers verify the construction of the paper’s figures, tables, and exploratory econometric results. All variables should be interpreted together with the methodological notes and limitations stated in the manuscript and appendix.

Steps to reproduce

Download the supporting CSV folder. Open the manuscript and identify the figure, table, or econometric result to be replicated. Use macro_model_dataset.csv as the main annual macroeconomic dataset. Use the WID-related files for the wealth-inequality benchmark variables, especially top 10 wealth share, top 1 wealth share, bottom 50 wealth share, and wealth Gini. Use the UECM/ARDL, Granger, robustness, and sensitivity CSV files to reproduce the econometric screening tables and appendix diagnostics. Use the anonymized public-exposure/proxy CSV files only for descriptive figures and institutional-screening analysis. Match each output to the corresponding figure/table notes in the manuscript and appendix. Interpret all results as exploratory empirical screens, not as final causal estimates or legal conclusions.
