Description

FullDataChad.csv is a survey dataset containing 304 responses on consumer awareness, attitudes, and intentions toward cultured meat in Chad. It includes variables related to knowledge of cultured meat, meat consumption habits, perceptions of safety and naturalness, willingness to try and purchase cultured meat, general acceptance, and respondent sociodemographic characteristics. The questionnaire was designed for young adults aged 18–34 and can support descriptive, psychometric, and multivariate analyses of consumer acceptance of alternative protein technologies.

The data were collected through a structured questionnaire survey designed to examine consumer awareness, attitudes, and acceptance of cultured meat in Chad. The survey used a standardized self-report instrument covering prior awareness of cultured meat, self-rated knowledge, meat consumption habits, motives for meat purchase, willingness to replace conventional meat with alternatives, attitudes toward cultured meat, behavioural intentions, perceived risks and naturalness concerns, and selected sociodemographic characteristics. The questionnaire structure and variable content are documented in the study materials accompanying the dataset. Before the main attitudinal section, respondents were provided with a short explanatory text describing what cultured meat is, how it is produced, and its potential benefits and limitations. This was done to ensure that participants had a basic understanding of the concept before evaluating it. The survey included several response formats. Awareness and behavioural questions were recorded as categorical responses. Meat-purchase motives were measured on a 5-point Likert-type scale. Attitudinal statements about cultured meat were measured on a 7-point Likert-type scale, while intention and broader acceptance items were measured on 5-point ordinal scales. The final section included demographic variables such as gender, age group, education, place of residence, employment status, parental status, and household income. According to the available documentation, the study focused on young consumers, and the shared dataset reflects that analytical scope. The final dataset was stored as a CSV file and contains 304 observations and 44 variables. Variable names follow the questionnaire coding scheme (e.g., Q1, Q10, Q17.1), which allows direct linkage between the raw data and the survey instrument. The dataset appears to contain both original questionnaire responses and selected derived variables prepared during data processing. Because this was a survey-based study, no laboratory instruments, reagents, or experimental materials were used. Reproducing the research would require the same questionnaire content, the same response scales, the same introductory explanation of cultured meat, and a comparable sampling approach in Chad. Data processing and analysis can be reproduced by importing the CSV file into statistical software, matching variables to the questionnaire items, and reconstructing any composite indicators used in the original study.
