Dataset of content analysis of TikTok posts on suction-based airway clearance devices (2026)
Description
This dataset contains results of a content analysis of TikTok posts (n=35) presenting English-language (voice and/or screen text) or non-verbal (demonstration-only) videos concerning suction-based airway clearance devices that have at least one million views. The dataset includes two files: 1) Dataset_SBACDs.xlsx contains characteristics of the posts (URLs, counts of comments, views, likes, bookmarks, and shares, as well as publication dates), results of a checklist-based analysis of the posts, and a collection of extracted comments. 2) Dataset_Topics.xlsx contains results of thematic analysis of collected post claims regarding choking, post claims regarding suction-based airway clearance devices, and user comments concerning suction-based airway clearance devices.
