This dataset contains the raw data supporting the findings of the study entitled "Biochemical composition, mineral profile, and lipid characteristics of seeds from three Cistus species: Nutritional potential" submitted to Future Foods (Elsevier). The dataset includes: Raw measurements of primary metabolites (proteins, total sugars, lipids, and ash content) for seeds of Cistus ladanifer, Cistus salviifolius, and Cistus laurifolius (three replicates per species) Raw mineral composition data obtained by ICP-AES (potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, sodium, and boron) Raw FTIR-ATR spectral data of seed oils from the three Cistus species

Steps to reproduce
Seeds of three Cistus species (C. ladanifer, C. salviifolius, and C. laurifolius) were collected from the Al Hoceima region, Morocco. Primary metabolites were quantified using standard spectrophotometric methods. Mineral composition was determined by ICP-AES. Lipid extracts were analyzed by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy using an INVENIO S spectrometer (Bruker). All analyses were performed in triplicate.
