AIoT-Enabled Project Management: Enhancing Real-Time Decision-Making, Risk Mitigation, Operational Efficiency & Analysis
Description
The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), collectively known as AIoT, has unlocked new dimensions in project management. This paper explores how AIoT technologies can radically enhance planning accuracy, operational visibility, risk prediction, and adaptive control across various phases of a project lifecycle. Leveraging synthetic data simulating real-world construction and IT projects, we examine the application of predictive models, IoT-enabled sensing, and AI-driven dashboards. The results show significant improvements in safety response time, asset utilization, material wastage reduction, and schedule adherence.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)—a convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT)—is reshaping the landscape of project management. This study investigates the potential of AIoT technologies to improve project planning, real-time monitoring, risk mitigation, and operational decision-making. Using a synthetic dataset simulating sensor-driven project environments, the paper applies AI models for predictive scheduling, safety incident forecasting, and resource optimization.
