Direct observation of vertical eddy viscosity in the mixed layer of coastal waters

Description

This dataset contains wind, surface wave, and ocean current observations collected in October 2019 in the coastal waters of the northwestern South China Sea from an offshore fixed platform, together with the turbulent Reynolds stress and vertical eddy viscosity in the ocean surface mixed layer derived from these observations. Variable names and observation times are described within the data file. The data file is in .mat format and can be opened and read using MATLAB. The specific algorithms for the derived data can be found in the relevant literature.
