Steps to reproduce

Participant record sheets were prepared which included the CAP-II rating scale and a section to fill in any additional comments for each child. Based on the interview with the parents, rating of each child’s performance on a 10-point rating scale, where 0 indicates no awareness of environmental sound or voice and 9 indicates use of telephone with an unknown speaker in unpredictable context was done by ticking against the categories on the CAP-II rating scale that was felt most appropriate to each individual.
