Dataset of humid and tropical climate with high-temporal resolution: Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Description

This database comprises 170,861 observations covering 35 parameters collected in the Nacional District of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, using a Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus meteorological station. The database captures a wide range of meteorological parameters, including air temperature, solar radiation, humidity, barometric pressure, dew point, wind direction, wind speed, rainfall, density, heat index, THW index and THSW index. The data has been organized into a single Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, which is structured in rows and columns.

Steps to reproduce

The database was collected using a Vantage Pro2 Plus meteorological station. The station console was set up to record meteorological parameters with a sample rate of one minute, and the data was transferred to the computer unit via a software interface (WeatherLink v6.0.5). The raw database was systematically organized, cleaned and refined to ensure the quality, reproducibility and validity of the information for scientific and engineering applications
