# IBMD Data Brief: China CT Scanner Procurement Market - H1 2026 ## Abstract This data brief presents an empirical analysis of the Computed Tomography (CT) scanner procurement market in Mainland China during the first half of 2026 (H1 2026). Utilizing proprietary tender-level data curated by the IBMD Data Center, this study analyzes 1,137 publicly disclosed procurement records to provide a granular view of market dynamics amidst ongoing Volume-Based Procurement (VBP) reforms. ## Key Findings * **Market Adjustment:** Total estimated procurement value reached RMB 11.4 billion, representing a 24.7% year-on-year (YoY) decline, while volume decreased by only 7.24%, indicating a structural price reset rather than a demand contraction. * **Segment Polarization:** 256-slice CT volume grew by 28.8% YoY, whereas 128-slice CT volume fell by 46.6%. 64-slice CT remained the volume anchor with a 26.9% YoY increase. * **VBP Impact:** Centralized procurement drove significant price compression, with average unit prices declining by 35.39% (256-slice), 53.01% (128-slice), and 40.43% (64-slice). * **Competitive Landscape:** Market concentration intensified, with the CR5 capturing 81.8% of unit sales and 92.3% of total value. Domestic OEMs led in unit share, while multinational corporations retained leadership in the high-end segment value share. ## Methodology Data were sourced from publicly disclosed winning bids across national and provincial government procurement websites, public resource trading centers, and major third-party tendering platforms. Exclusions include maintenance contracts, spare parts, and refurbished equipment. Estimates for non-disclosed transactions were modeled using historical tender ratios to ensure national representativeness. ## Contact For inquiries, please contact the IBMD Data Center at xiexiaoda@ibmd.org.cn.
